What Are Phobias?
Phobias are a specific type of anxiety disorder. While most people have some degree of anxiety, phobias are characterized by an irrational fear of particular objects or situations that can be very disabling and lead to avoidance behaviors. Phobias are often associated with panic attacks or other physical symptoms such as sweating, shaking, palpitations, and shortness of breath. In severe cases, it can also result in full-blown panic attacks that cause dizziness, chest pain, and choking sensations.
The treatment for phobias is hypnotherapy which is effective in treating many phobias. There are two types of phobias: specific phobias and complex phobias.
